Geelong Voice Therapy (GVT) is a Speech Pathology clinic that focuses solely on providing services for clients with voice issues including the Trans community.
The business is based in a friendly, private, home based office with off street parking located in North Geelong and only a short walk from the station.
Run by James Rolton, I have a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance and a strong passion for voice. I've worked on Accent Modification in Japan and I trained at the La Trobe Communication Clinic (among others) while studying for my Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Speech Pathology.
For any information please don't hesitate to give me a call on 0406 918 766
Many people unsatisfied with their voice can have ongoing ‘chronic’ issues. These may be as a result of strain and muscle tension or the emotional stress of a voice that does not match one’s gender. In cases like this your GP can place you on a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan. This plan would allow you to see an array of Allied Health professionals (including Speech Pathology) for a total of 5 sessions per calendar year, with Medicare funding. Geelong Voice Therapy bulk bills CDM clients so there is no out of pocket expense. Please see the GVT website’s ‘Pricing’ section for more information on this or speak with your local LGBTIQ friendly GP.
